Skimboard on airplane?

so im going to Maui and i was wondering what is the best way to get my Skimboard there too.

should i put it is an extra bag?

or UPS it over to my hotel first?

    i just wrap in towels and put installation tubing on the rails then just check it if they ask tell them its a boogie board so they don’t charge extra
